The European champions arrived in Johannesburg this morning before making their way to their base in Potchefstroom, where Vicente Del Bosque`s side will undergo their first training session this evening.

Team doctor Oscar Luis Celada said of the journey from Spain: "The flight has gone according to plan for the players. They`ve rested according to the established plan.

"They`ve been able to rest well, they`ve slept for around six, seven hours, and therefore we hope that the day will go normally.

"The fact there hasn`t been a time change has made it easier for the players to adapt," Celada added on the Spanish football federation (RFEF) website.

Spain`s opening World Cup match is against Honduras in Durban next Wednesday. The other teams in Group H are Switzerland and Chile.
