The Spanish football federation have opened an investigation into Segunda Division club Las Palmas and Rayo Vallecano, plus seven professional players, regarding betting on matches.
The RFEF announced yesterday that, after being alerted by UEFA, they had started a probe into players suspected of betting on the results of both matches they were involved in and others.
No clubs or players were mentioned by the RFEF, but Las Palmas confirmed on their website that their goalless draw against Rayo Vallecano last season was being investigated.
Las Palmas also named seven players involved in the inquiry, none of who were from the Canary Islands club.
