ROMA coach Luciano Spalletti heaped praise on Francesco Totti after the talisman returned from a four-game absence due to injury and fired the club to a Serie A victory over Bologna.
Totti struck from the penalty spot in each half as Roma won 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico to remain five points behind fourth-placed Genoa.
"Totti has been extraordinary," said Spalletti.
"I am truly satisfied with his performance today. He really makes the difference."
Roma are trying to climb into the top four but both Genoa and fifth-placed Fiorentina also won their respective games at Reggina and Atalanta.
"I have to compliment both Genoa and Fiorentina," said Spalletti.
"They had tough away games but came out with important victories."
Roma take on Lazio next weekend in the Rome derby while Genoa host Juventus and Fiorentina take on Cagliari.
