"To be honest, with the last seven years in Spain, it's gone quite well for me," the 29-year-old former Canterbury Marrickville glovesman told au.fourfourtwo.com.

"I'm now consolidated in the Spanish Second division and I've created a little niche for myself. I feel my future is in Spain. I wouldn't at this moment contemplate coming back to the A-League.

"The Spanish league is very strong and there is always the chance you play in a side that could get promoted to the first division."

Bello Serans moved from Sydney seven years ago after a modest career outside the old NSL. Flying under the radar, he began his career with Racing Ferrol in 2001 – the same club his father played for before emigrating to Australia. In 2005, Belo Serans moved to Poli Ejido.

However, the Almeria-based club was relegated this season and the player's agent is now looking at other Spanish clubs. It's expected a club in Spain will be found.

"So now the season is over we're going to look at things. The Spanish Second Division is like a wheel and you just want to keep yourself in that wheel.

"Right now there are some clubs over there in the second division and I'd like to stay in Spain but perhaps who knows when I'm in my mid-30s. My partner loves Australia ...

"And the money situation is good, so right now, there is no need for it [to return to Australia]. But Sydney is always my home, it's where I grew up and I have lots of friends still here."

Sydney FC goalkeeper coach Jim Fraser remembers Bello Serans. "I coached him. He's a nice kid. I rate him."

Another major change this year was with the keeper's surname. He has been known as Bello Amigo, but changed it in honour of his mother to Bello Serans. She passed away with cancer last year.

The player is currently back in Australia with his Spanish partner and the pair have gone with friends to the outback for a short trip before returning to Spain in July.

The Spanish season kicks off on September 2.

"It's to a point now where my career has been stabilized there in Spain," added Bello Serans.

"At the beginning I was the third keeper at Racing Ferrol but I was lucky enough to have a coach that really believed in me and I moved up."
