MATTHEW Spiranovic says he has learned so much in the last three weeks and now he's desperate to put it into practice against the Chinese.
The Nurnberg defender came on as a substitute in the friendly win over Ghana last month and now he's been handed the the chance to test himself in front of 70,000 fans at ANZ Stadium.
He told the Geelong Advertiser: "The last two or three weeks have been fantastic to go through the qualifying stage with the boys and learn off them and see what the big names do.
"It's a little bit disappointing to be watching from the stands and on the bench because you just want to be out there, but it's been a good learning curve for me.
"This game is a huge opportunity for us young boys.
"This is what you play the game for as a junior. You spend so much time on the field to get this opportunity to play for your country."
Coach Pim Verbeek has announced a young line up for Sunday's game with Spiranovic among the youngsters looking to impress.
