Spiranovic has been impressing in Europe, turning out for the first team of FC Nuremburg in the Bundesliga.

But despite appearances for the Under 20s, he is still eligible to represent Croatia and has yet to be capped by the Socceroos to safeguard him for Australia.

He made it into the squad for the Australia friendly against Uruguay but didn't get to play.

Now Spiranovic has again offered to commit to Australia if he can just earn a selection, and hopes the upcoming World Cup qualifiers could be his passport to the senior team.

"If given the opportunity, the qualifiers would be a large stepping stone in regards to playing senior international football," Spiranovic told the Geelong Advertiser.

"I haven't spoken to any of the coaching staff lately in regards to what's next, so I'm not quite sure what's on the agenda, although I did receive an email outlining some Socceroos dates next year."

And while others Euro Roos struggle to get time off from their club to represent their country, he's backed his club to release him for the Olympics as well as the qualifiers.

"Nuremberg are always happy to have its players achieve international experience, although international call-ups sometime put the club's and players in difficult positions," he added.

"All being well in regards to fitness and form, I am very much looking forward to playing at the Olympics.

"Unfortunately the Olympic Games in Beijing is not the most ideal time in regards to the club's pre-season and the start of the 2008 season.

"(But) not too many people get the opportunity to go to the Olympic Games. To be there representing Australia is a once-in-a-lifetime experience I would like to take.

"It's always been a dream of mine to represent Australia at any level."
