Tom Huddlestone reckons Tottenham are gaining ground on rivals Arsenal as the true entertainers of the Barclays Premiership.
Spurs have scored 23 times in a seven-match unbeaten run as they chase silverware on two fronts, reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup and FA Cup.
Their current free-scoring form is in keeping with the footballing traditions at White Hart Lane, although Arsenal's "Invincibles" recently set the benchmark of entertainment under Arsene Wenger.
Huddlestone, however, feels the gap is getting narrower.
"Obviously a key element of football is to try to entertain the fans," said the 20-year-old midfielder. "It's an exciting time for the fans, but the main things is we're winning.
"Arsenal are renowned as maybe the best footballing team in Europe. I think we're getting there.
"If we can play exciting football and win it's a good combination. The team we've got is young and fairly attacking, we have a freedom to express ourselves. We try to enjoy ourselves and play flowing football."
One of the key players in Spurs' change in fortunes following a post-Christmas slump has been Dimitar Berbatov, the Bulgaria striker who has scored 19 goals this season.
After arriving from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer and taking time to settle, his remarkable form has led to suggestions there have been negotiations over a new contract for him.
But Berbatov, who signed a four-year deal when he arrived at the club, told official website tottenhamhotspur.com: "My contract is long enough. I don't think about these things, I concentrate on my career, my football and my goals.
"My primary goal is to enjoy my football and entertain the fans who come to see us."
The £10.9million signing scored twice against Braga last night to put Spurs in the last eight of the UEFA Cup, his goals proving the difference in a 6-4 aggregate win.
"He's been on fire all season and shown his class," added Huddlestone. "It seems that defenders can't or don't dare tackle him because he can make them look stupid. He makes people look silly in games, let alone training.
"His finishing is second to none. A lot of continental players have a swagger around the pitch. He's got confidence in his ability and we know he will score goals. He's fairly quiet but on the pitch he's as confident as you want him to be."
Spurs' status as the new entertainers was enhanced by another high-scoring match when they defeated Braga, the 3-2 win on the night meaning there have been 35 goals in total in their last seven games.
Huddlestone, who contributed at the wrong end against the Portuguese side, is confident about facing any of the other teams when the draw for the quarter-finals is made tomorrow.
He added: "There is a real belief we can go all the way in the UEFA Cup. Some of our best performances have come in the competition, we're fully confident in every competition we're in."
