After concerns over family season passes at the Roar and ticket prices at the Brisbane stadium which may have been responsible for the club's two lowest ever home crowds, I wrote a story on Friday about this issue.

Roar confirmed that a family season pass to Roar games this season was up by almost $700, something which had clearly agitated some fans who said it was too much to pay in such tough economic times.

One reader who logged a comment claimed she had received an email from Fraser after she had emailed him to complain over the club's high ticket prices.  His response was reprinted in her post.

In it Fraser said the clubs set prices, not the FFA. And he said it was all about choice when choosing seating but added that Roar's membership numbers in the past were disappointingly low reflecting a lack of passion.

Fraser confirmed he'd sent the email and told au.fourfourtwo.com this morning that pricing wise, it's still a good deal at Suncorp.

"Yes I responded as I do with every email I receive from our fans, I think it's important that the fans of our game have a voice and are able to receive personal answers from me or the club to questions they might have on the game," he wrote.

"I know the club have also responded to her on some questions that she put forward on this issue and in the past. Football is all about passion and it's about our fans, so for me it's part of my role to get back to people who are members and or fans of our game.

"This was the second email I responded back to her after I answered some other specific points she had put forward on a range of questions.

"She has great seats at Suncorp having purchased seats in the second most expensive seating option the club offers in the stadium.

"The club, who set the pricing, have positioned their lowest priced seats available for the season below the Broncos and Reds ticket pricing for, members, kids and walk-up tickets.

"Suncorp is one of, if not the best stadium in the country for football and we had 19,900 for the opening game, family membership and walk up is still the cheapest of all codes in town that play at Suncorp.

"I think it's healthy that fans get passionate about our game and have access to the people who are heading the game and I think it's important that they get answers, even if sometimes they don't agree with the answers. After all I am a fan too.

"If I came across rude or condescending that was certainly not my intention, she is clearly a passionate football fan, with a great seat on match day at Suncorp for the Roar games."

au.fourfourtwo.com has emailed all clubs about their ticket pricing and will look to run a comparative analysis of pricing for tickets.
