The match is set to go along way to deciding the top team in the group after Korea's shock opening 3-1 win over Japan, with Australia comfortably defeating Chinese Taipei 4-0 in their opening fixture.

Captain Cheryl Salisbury is joined by the likes of Melissa Barbieri, Di Alagich, Collette McCallum, Lisa De Vanna and Kate Gill as experienced players returning to the starting team.

Striker De Vanna, who has been in good form recently with her Swedish club AIK Solna, and who scored in the tournament opener is set to make her 50th appearance in the green and gold.

Midfielder Lauren Colthorpe is the only starting player that was on the field throughout Thursday's win over Chinese Taipei.

"One of the advantages of the squad is our depth and the ability to use our whole squad with confidence," says Matildas coach Tom Sermanni.

"We will only have one player in the starting line-up that has played a full match so we should be refreshed and ready to go.

"This is very much a critical match and if we win we have taken a giant step towards the semi finals.

"It was obvious from the results the other night that this is the tougher of the two groups and that Korea have remerged as a force in Asian football.

"This match will not just be test of football ability but a test of character."
The match commences at 10.30pm (AEST) tonight, with Australia's final group game against Japan on Monday at 8pm (AEST).

The two favoured teams in Group A last night secured qualification for the semi finals with DPR Korea defeating Vietnam 3-0, and China knocking over Thailand 5-1. The two will face each other on Sunday night with the winner to play the runner-up in Australia's group.
