Sivasspor moved to the top of the Turkish Super Lig following a 2-0 home win over 10-man Trabzonspor on Sunday.
The home side went in front five minutes after half-time through Ivan Cvetkov, before Trabzonspor's Cagdas Atan was shown a straight red card with 14 minutes left.
And Mehmet Yildiz sealed the win from the penalty spot as Sivasspor moved a point-clear of second-placed Galatasaray who had held top-spot temporarily on Saturday night after beating Caykur Rizespor.
Fenerbahce missed the chance to take top spot after they salvaged a point against Istanbul Buyuksehir BSK with a stunning late comeback.
Ilyas Kahraman put Istanbul Buyuksehir ahead with 16 minutes remaining and Gokhan Kaba's goal with nine minutes left looked to have sealed a shock win for the visitors.
However, Luis Edu Dracena pulled one back for Fenerbahce in the 84th minute before Deivid completed the comeback with two minutes remaining as Fenerbahce dropped a point behind Galatasaray in third place.
Elsewhere Ankaragucu were held to a 1-1 home draw with Ankaraspor, Bursaspor also drew 1-1 with 10-man Denizlispor and Kayserispor won 1-0 at Manisaspor.
