CENTRAL Coast forward Adam Kwasnik says he wants to become a regular starting member of the Mariners side after scoring a double in Saturday's 4-0 victory over Sydney FC in Gosford.
Kwasnik, who has been used mostly as a substitute this campaign, won a rare start in place of the suspended Daniel McBreen against the Sky Blues and his double on Saturday took his season tally to five goals.
"I think every player in the league wants to start games," Kwasnik told FoxSports after the game.
"I think I played my part off the bench. I'm lucky that I got the start tonight and I made the most of it and just want to go from here and concentrate on next week against Perth."
Kwasnik added: "We got told to move the ball wide and it worked very, very early. We were three goals up and basically the boys put them on a plate for me."
The 27-year-old attacker, who became Central Coast's all-time leading scorer with his brace on Saturday, continued his side was desperate to respond after last weekend's 5-1 defeat to Brisbane Roar.
"We worked hard during the week to rectify what went wrong last week," he said.
"In all honesty I think it was a bit of a hiccup last week but we got the three points tonight and that was the most important thing and it wasn't a bad performance either."
Central Coast's next match is away to Perth Glory on Saturday.
