BRISBANE Roar's Erik Paartalu is among the new names in Holger Osieck's Socceroos squad for next week's dead rubber clash with Saudi Arabia.
Paartalu joins Michael Marrone and Mat Ryan as the new names coming into the senior squad while it also sees recalls for Mark Schwarzer, Mark Bresciano, Brett Emerton and Harry Kewell.
David Carney also gets his first cap since moving to Bunyodkor in Uzbekistan while Alex Brosque, Sasha Ognenovski, Jade North, Matthew Spiranovic and Lucas Neill also return to the green and gold from Asian clubs.
Mark Milligan, Harry Kewell and Archie Thompson join the squad from Melbourne Victory, Nick Carle from Sydney and Michael Thwaite from Gold Coast while Adam Sarota and James Troisi are the only European-based players.
"Logistically it was a very tough call to get everyone in so I had to make some adjustments," said Osieck.
"You'll see a little bit of a changed set up. I can definitely have a good look at some of the guys who have caught my eyes over the season.
"Erik Paartalu has consistently performed well. I think he deserved the call and we'll see how he does.
"It wouldn't make sense to bring in a Euro keeper and sit him on the bench, Ryan is definitely one of the upcoming goalkeepers in Australia for the next couple of years alongside keepers like Langerak.
"Marrone has played a decent season so far. I've been monitoring him very closely and been impressed by the way he's played against experienced players and he did a good job although he still has some way to go.
"I want to give him incentive to keep working hard and give him a taste of what it's like it that room."
The FFA also confirmed the kick-off for the February 29 match at AAMI Park in Melbourne will now be at 8.30pm after initially being advertised at 7.30pm then delayed by the AFC until 9.30pm
