SYDNEY FC are hoping to clinch a deal to bring Tim Cahill and his English Premier League club Everton to the harbour city for a friendly clash.
Perth Glory already have hopes of taking on Everton but is thought the Toffees are also keen for a fixture on the east coast of Australia.
Sydney FC officials admit they're keen to see it happen and negotiations between the two parties are ongoing.
Stefan Kamasz, Sydney FC's CEO told the Sydney Morning Herald: "We've been discussing this with the club for the last three weeks so we're a real possibility.
"We'll be holding more discussions with the club's representatives and hopefully we'll be able to come up with an answer by the end of the week."
Meanwhile, Sydney's players are preparing to depart for China where they will play a match a week today.
