The final game of the Round of 16 FFA Cup finished with Sydney FC progressing to the final eight after defeating Perth Glory 2-0 away at Dorrien Gardens.
In front of 2661 fans it took until extra-time before Sydney managed to find two goals courtesy of Milos Ninkovic and Alex Brosque to guarantee progression.
The first goal almost came as early as the ninth minute - Joseph Knowles’ almost executed a perfect delivery to Andy Keogh, but was snuffed out by Seb Ryall.
Filip Holosko had Sydney’s best chance of the first half after just 15 minutes when his shot was beaten away by Liam Reddy.
Eight minutes later David Carney had an indirect free kick, the delivery missed all the players in the box which forced Reddy to tip it out for a corner.
The Glory nearly hit the ground running in the second term after Chris Harold had a shot which went just wide.
With 20 minutes remaining, Adam Taggart looked to have stamped his ground when his blistering run nearly paid dividends, however the shot hit the side netting.
Debutant Bobo almost got the winner for Sky Blues at the 83rd minute, forcing Reddy to parry it once again meaning the game would finish goalless at full-time.
Nine minutes into extra-time Sydney found themselves in front, a dummy from Brilliante allowed a free Milos Ninkovic to run into the box and open the scoring.
Alex Brosque made it a two goal lead and sealed their place in the last eight after he worked his way into the box and slammed it home.
After two hours of football it was the visitors who prevailed with a 2-0 victory and now await the draw for the next round which commences straight after the game.
