Goals to Noel Spencer and David Zrilic secured a comfortable victory for Sydney FC last night.
The Malaysian national side was held scoreless by Brank Culina's Sydney FC last night at Edensor Park in Sydney.
David Carney was back to fine form, setting up both first-half goals in an impressive display ahead of next Wednesday's crunch Asian Champions League match against the Urawa Red Diamonds.
Both Spencer and Zdrilic's goals came from headers off the boot from David Carney on the left wing.
Culina took off three of his stars in the second half. Clint Bolton, Steve Corica and Mark Rudan were replaced, while Nikolas Tsattalios was also taken off with with ten minutes remaining but was not replaced. Culina was keen to test his men with just ten players on the field.
The match is a must-win if they are to proceed past the Red Diamonds and advance to the quarter-finals.
