SYDNEY FC has confirmed its remaining pre-season friendly schedule with games to be played all over Sydney against State League and A-League teams before the season begins on October 6.
The Sky Blues will play APIA Leichhardt Tigers in its fourth pre-season Community fixture, following matches against Macarthur Rams, St George and Manly United, before finalising preparations with four matches against A-League clubs.
The pre-season campaign will see Sydney FC play in Campbelltown, Kogarah, Dee Why, Bossley Park and Leichhardt (twice) before travelling to play Brisbane Roar and Newcastle Jets away from home.
The next match will take place tomorrow night (Tuesday) against St George at WIN Jubilee Kogarah (7.30pm kick off), with proceeds from the match going back to the local football community, as is the case with all matches against State League opposition.
“We’re delighted to be able to finalise the pre-season program with matches against State League and A-League teams that sees the team playing games in all parts of Sydney,” said Sydney FC Chief Executive Officer Tony Pignata.
“We believe we have been able to balance the requirements of the football team with the need to take the Sydney FC team to different parts of the community to make sure we are ready for the start of the season on October 6.”
