Wolanksi was an instrumental part of the Sky Blues success over the last few years working closely with his fellow board members.

Sydney FC chairman Scott Barlow thanked Wolanski for his efforts in helping build the club to what it is today.

“I would like to thank Phill for his time and service to Sydney FC over the last two seasons,” he said.

“His knowledge and experience in the game has been of real benefit to the club and he has made a major contribution.

“I wish him well and I know he will remain an ardent follower of Sydney FC and the game in this country.”

In stepping down, Wolanski wished Sydney FC well going forward.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my involvement, and time on the board over the last two years and I am proud of the contribution I have made.

“In moving on, I continue my connection with Sydney FC and wish the club every success in the future both on and off the pitch.”

Sydney FC will look to appoint a replacement board member and an announcement will be made in due course.
