Pre-season training may only be in its second week but Sydney FC’s push into the grass roots community continues to gather pace.
On Saturday, marquee player John Aloisi and Jacob Timpano visited Georges River Football Club of the Sutherland Shire Association at Oyster Bay Oval.

The players signed autographs and posed for pictures with around 300 junior players - and a few star struck Mums and Dads! - then offered encouragement to players taking part in small-sided games.
The Sutherland Shire Association is a huge potential hotbed of support for Sydney FC having over 17,000 registered players within comfortable travelling distance of the SFS.
Georges River runs over 60 sides at all levels and head of coaching at Georges River, Alex Anagnostiadis said, “The effect of John and Jacob visiting our club will be long lasting - it gives the children something to aspire to having players who have competed at the highest level on our patch has sent tongues wagging & the privilege has not been lost on our club.
"I also believe that it will give our coaches added impetus as we strive to educate our children at all levels – from SSG through to youth level & beyond.”
TV cameras were there to capture the visit with vision to be aired on a forthcoming episode of Football Stars of Tomorrow and FourFourTwo was on hand with giveaways for the kids and to capture some photos of the event.
