The special guest players were not just at the junior session to assist with training and sign autographs, but also to hand out a new mini-magazine, 'Keep Kicking', developed by the game's professionals to help juniors improve their football. Musialik and Grant ran through some training drills detailed in the new magazine with the junior players.

McDonald's, Football NSW and FourFourTwo Magazine joined Hyundai A-League heavyweights Sydney FC and the Central Coast Mariners to launch the magazine, which is a 16-page guide to football, including tips, skills and warm up techniques. Sydney stars, Shannon Cole and Alex Brosque were among the players put through their paces for a demonstration on controlling the ball for the magazine, inspiring junior players to practice a variety of football skills when they train.

After Wednesday's training session the visiting Sydney FC players were able to sign autographs for their young fans and speak to the Peakhurst Juniors about their football aspirations.

Midfielder, Stuart Musialik was pleased with the local junior's enthusiasm for the game and is excited about the season ahead.

"It was great to come and see the kids train," said the Olyroo representative.  "All of the players were very keen to be involved and were excited to receive the magazine. It's great to have a magazine like 'Keep Kicking' which juniors can use as a guide to further develop their skills."

McDonald's Rockdale Licensee Louie Treffiletti is glad to have Sydney FC on board to develop the magazine and encourage the local teams to improve their individual game.

"McDonald's restaurants in NSW are proud partners of Football NSW and we are pleased that the magazine is backed by both Sydney FC and the Central Coast Mariners. I know the kids will be even more excited to learn the drills when they know their favourite players have used them in training as well," said Louie.

The 'Keep Kicking' mini-magazine will be distributed to over 80,000 kids playing junior football in New South Wales in the Under 7 to Under 12 divisions. The mini-magazine is also available in the May edition of FourFourTwo magazine.

"McDonald's is committed to working with Football NSW and developing football at a grassroots level. The launch of the mini-magazine along with the school clinics will help juniors develop their skills and encourage everyone to 'keep kicking!' " concluded Louie.

The McDonald's and Football NSW 'Kick it Kids' School Development Program will also be visiting over 50,000 school students this year across NSW, teaching students about the benefits of team sport and leading an active and healthy lifestyle.
