Sydney F.C has shown they’re ready to take on Asia’s finest in style with the unveiling of their 2019 Asian Champions League home jersey.

Ahead of their Matchday 1 fixture on the 6th of March, the Sky Blues took to Twitter to reveal the Puma-manufactured kit which they hope will feature deep into the latter stages of the annual tournament which their local rivals, Western Sydney Wanderers, won back in 2014.

 


Keeping with the traditional light blue colourway which is now so strongly associated with the club, an abstract pattern of mostly thin, black lines creates an eye-catching gradient effect across the jersey’s front, whilst the sleeves and sides maintain the base colour.

Sydney’s 2018 ACL campaign could be described as somewhat disappointing, though a rather difficult one as they failed to progress past a group stage.

Sydney were forced to fight it out against such teams as the Korean group-leaders Suwon Samsung Bluewings, eventual champions Kashima Antlers and Chinese powerhouses Shanghai Shenhua.
