With David Beckham and co expected to fly into Sydney tomorrow morning, press interest in the game is exploding.
"It's a great opportunity to showcase Australian football so we have to take it seriously," admitted Kosmina. "But the bread and butter is the A-League."
Beckham and the rest of the team will face apress conference tomorrow lunchtime before being introduced to Sydney facs at the Roar game tomorrow.
On Monday they will have a training session at Telstra Stadium on Monday before the showcase match on Tuesday night.
Kosmina's determined to put on a spectacle- but insists he'snot taking it too seriously.
"We have to do well," he said, but added: "We will use it as a replacement training session."
Telstra Stadium is a virtual sell-out for the match and Sydney are hoping they can use it as a platform to snare more fans for the A-League.
Kosmina said: "It's unbelievable that 80,000 are turning up. It's incredible.
"If we get 18,-20,000 for this weekend's game against Queensland Roar, that's fabulous. But where are the other 60,000 coming from?
"We're putting football on display to a whole new local audience. Maybe we can sell it to the new faces and they will come back next weekend."
At a training session at Sydney Football Stadium yesterday, players were put through their paces with the emphasis on attack.
Former Perth Glory midfielder Mark Robertson - set to come in as a replacement for injured Adam Casey - joined the squad, along with the return to light training of striker Patrick after his knee surgery.
Juninho also featured in training, losing a shootout and forced to be a target in goal as his team-mates lined up to take a pot shot at him.
He'll a be a key player for Sydney in the Galaxy game to combat the World Cup flop Beckham factor and may even start off the bench for the Roar game to protect him.
"We have a bloke with a world cup medal in his back pocket," said Kosmina. "Juninho will play on Tuesday night and will enjoy the experience."
But Kossie wasn;t writing off the impact of Beckham's impact on the game.
"Beckham has done the business at two of the biggest clubs in the world and proved himself," he said. "He was a great player and is still a great player.
"He's managed to balance the public and private life a well. He draws attention and it's a nice positive thing for the game."
