Victory women travel to Sydney's Parramatta stadium for the first W-League clash between these two rivals.

And a week after Sydney took the points with a clinical 2-0 win in the A-League, Garriock says the girls' passion for this super clash is just as keenly felt.

"It'll be feisty," says Sydney skipper Garriock. "They [Victory] are very ambitious but we're playing in Sydney, it should be a great match and hopefully we can get some goals early to settle the game.

"It'll be tough but in saying that I think we played fairly well last week [against Perth Glory] and I'm sure a win isn't out of the question."

Sydney thumped Glory 4-0 at Members Equity. Garriock, 26, slammed a contender for goal of the season with a cracking second half volley after a disappointing set-piece attempt.

"I was so upset with missing the free kick that it was an instant reaction to get on the ball asap and stick it in the back of the net," she said.

Garriock's career continues to blossom. She recently turned out as a guest player for the UAE in a tournament in Dubai where she helped her side reach the final.

And she'll head to Chicago next year to play in the new US women's soccer league. And this week, Garriock also signed with sports management company Entourage.

But until she leaves for America, Garriock is hoping to brighten up the W-League, starting at Parramatta stadium at 4pm this Saturday.

She added: "I'm sure there'll be goals this weekend and I promise you I'll score another spectacular goal throughout the season.

"I think if anyone has seen the games on TV, the feedback I've got is that there are lots of goals. It's an entertaining game and I think the word of the week is 'surprised' – they're surprised how good the W-League is."
