REIGNING Champions Sydney FC will host the W-League Grand Final for the second year running after crushing the Melbourne Victory 5-1 at Campbelltown Stadium this afternoon.
The Sky Blues, who last week claimed back-to-back Premierships, will take on the Brisbane Roar at Campbelltown Stadium on Saturday 12 February (3pm kick-off) - a repeat of last season's championship decider.
In muggy conditions, the Sky Blues controlled the game from start to finish with striker Leena Khamis continuing her stellar season with a brace while Matildas star Kyah Simon, Nicola Bolger and workhorse midfielder Servet Uzunlar each adding a goal.
Simon, the league golden boot, netted her 12th of the campaign, five more than anyone else.
"We are ecstatic about today's result but we now have to quickly think about next Saturday," coach Alen Stajcic said.
"We face Brisbane and we know that they are going to be really tough. The girls will be ready though. We will prepare the ways we like and be ready for whatever comes our way.
"We want to see a big turnout of fans for the game. I encourage all football lovers to get to Campbelltown Stadium on Saturday and watch the best women's football teams in Australia do battle."
The win continues a stellar run for Stajcic's side who have won 18 of their 23 games over the past two seasons (3 losses, 2 draws) and are just one more win away from creating more W-League history.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 kids, $20 family (two adult, two kids) [NB - UPDATED from wrong information sent out by club last night.]
