Sydney FC will become the first professional sports club in Australia to wear kit designed by Under Armour, better known for their performance footwear, apparel and equipment.
The Sky Blues have signed a four-year deal which will see all official Sydney FC playing kits and off-field products produced by the sports manufacturing heavyweights after the end of their previous deal with Puma.
Sydney FC Chief Executive Officer Danny Townsend welcomed the ground-breaking partnership.
“This deal unites two high-performing, ambitious brands who will challenge the Australian sports market and always aspire to be the best,” he said.
“We are excited to be working together on innovative designs for our club’s members as well as driving our players towards optimum on-field performance.”
A custom-designed on-field playing range will be released for the first time in the club’s history in the coming weeks, complemented with a matching off-field range.
Sydney FC’s Under Armour athletes Milos Ninkovic and Chloe Logarzo said they were excited by the deal.
“They have some of the most innovative and state of the art products on the market and I can’t wait to see the designs of the new Sydney FC kit,” said Logarzo.
Ninkovic added: “With their help, we can challenge ourselves further this season and set new records in our domestic and AFC Champions League campaigns.”
