ALEX Brosque struck twice with Mark Bridge also on target as Sydney FC continued their pre-season preparations with a 3-1 victory over Marconi Stallions.
Three goals in the opening 33 minutes steered Vitezslav Lavicka's men to their third straight preseason victory.
The Stallions pegged a goal back in a scrappy second stanza after a Marconi defender was brought down in the box with Sean O'Connell nailing home the goal to get the home side on the board.
Lavicka also used the second half to trial a number of playing combinations with all 10 Sky Blues subs seeing action.
Sydney FC's next pre-season fixture is against Tim Cahill's Everton at ANZ Stadium on Saturday July 10 (7.30pm kick-off).
The Sky Blues started well with defender Shannon Cole taking a couple of early long range shots. From there it was Brosque and Bridge who quickly got involved in the game combining well to register Sydney's first shot on goal, forcing Marconi keeper Bello Amigo into a fine save.
There was nothing Amigo could do about Sydney's first goal in the 13th minute when Bridge played a ball to Brosque, who timed his run perfectly into the box. The Marconi defenders waited for an offside flag which never came and Brosque buried the ball into the back of the net.
The Sky Blues domination was almost rewarded again on the 22nd minute after a break found four Sydney players against two Marconi defenders. Brosque played the ball to a free Scott Jamieson on the left whose shot was saved by the keeper.
Sydney scored their second goal six minutes later when Brosque took advantage of another defensive error. The former Marconi striker raced through as the Stallions defenders waited for an offside decision. Brosque coolly beat the keeper and slotted home his second.
Bridge got involved in the action in the 33rd minute with a brilliant volley into the bottom right corner after getting on to a curling cross from the right flank.
After a host of half time changes, the second half allowed both sides to continue to try new things but it was the dominant first half that saw the Sky Blues record another win.
