EXCLUSIVE: Japanese Football God Kazuyoshi Miura hosted Sydney FC during their last night in Tokyo as the A-League side drowned its sorrows after failing to reach the knockout stage of the Asian Champions League.
"King" Kazu paid for the visitors' tab at an expensive restaurant in Roppongi, Tokyo, a well-known party district in the Japanese capital. The former FC guest player was also a visitor to the team's hotel earlier in the week.
Local media and fans were also impressed by FC's performance on Wednesday night. Newspaper reports have been overwhelmingly positive towards the A-League side.
The players and staff were keen to let their hair down after a long season following the A-League and their Asian Champions League campaign, which ended with a 0-0 draw against Urawa Red Diamonds.
FC will now have four weeks off to recharge their batteries before the new season. They arrrive in Sydney Friday morning.
