MANCHESTER City goalkeeper Stuart Taylor believes manager Mark Hughes has assembled a "frightening" strike force at the club.
Last week Emmanuel Adebayor was signed from Arsenal to join fellow new recruits Argentina international Carlos Tevez and Paraguay striker Roque Santa Cruz at Eastlands.
That trio have undoubtedly strengthened Hughes' resources up front, with Robinho, Craig Bellamy, Benjani Mwaruwari and Valeri Bojinov still at the club.
The positions of Benjani, who has been linked with Stoke, Hull and Portsmouth, and Bojinov, who is attracting interest from Lazio, appear most under threat with Hughes having already off-loaded Jo on loan to Everton again and Ched Evans destined for a permanent move Sheffield United.
Taylor is looking forward to seeing the new recruits in action.
"We're getting a fantastic squad together now, if we gel together and do it as a team on the field, it's looking good," he said.
"The strikeforce we have coming together is frightening. We can chop and change it for anything we need and it looks like there will be a lot of goals."
Taylor, along with former Aston Villa team-mate Gareth Barry, joined City this summer and although he faces a difficult task to displace number one Shay Given, the former Arsenal goalkeeper insists he has a role to play.
"It's nice for me to get a chance to come to a club like this," Taylor told mcfc.co.uk.
"I believe I am still good enough to do a job with a team like this, and the club feel that as well.
"Shay is an outstanding goalkeeper and he has proved it year in, year out in the Premier League for a long time.
"He's a consistent performer, always puts in a solid display and you need players like that to build a team around.
"It will be great for me to work for him."
Shaleum Logan, a graduate of City's academy, has signed a one-year contract extension which will keep him at the club until 2011.
However, the 21-year-old defender has now joined League One side Tranmere Rovers on a season-long loan.
