The Reds, after two weekends without competitive matches, will have to fight it out next weekend against Marconi Stallions to set up another shot against the Sharks in the Grand-Final.

Player/coach Ante Milicic had the Reds ahead moments before the end of the first-half with a free-kick effort that took a wicked deflection off a Sharks defender before finishing inside Nathan Denham's goal. The Reds nearly double their lead from another set-piece after the break though the Sharks managed to clear to safety.

Sydney United did double their lead on 58' minutes when youngster Andrija Petkovic was on hand to bag his side's second, though despite the Reds seemingly in control, Panni Nikas converted a 68' minute penalty following Ricky Perenich's foul on Brad Boardman.

Jim Bakis set up an action packed close to the 90' minutes when he drew Sutherland level with an exquisite finish past Vedran Janjetovic, before Chris Price stunned the home supporters when he headed home Michael Katz's cross deep into injury-time to clinch the Grand-Final berth.

Marconi Stallions needed extra-time to overcome Manly United FC to keep their season alive and set-up an elimination clash with Sydney United next weekend. The Stallions' dominate performance failed to bear fruit in regular time as Manly United FC defended stoutly to force the tie into extra-time.

5' minute into extra-time, Ali Al-Hilfi found the breakthrough when he tapped home from close-range a Nahuel Arrarte cross.

The Stallions killed off any hopes of a Manly United FC challenge when Vamara Diarra exquisitely brought the ball down off his chest and driving his effort past Brad Swancott in the Manly goal.

The victory sets up a rather interesting clash next Sunday at Sydney United Sports Centre in a local derby between two well-supported clubs.

All eyes will be on this Edensor Park clash in anticipation of determining which side will face Sutherland Sharks in the Grand-Final one week later.
