Bonnyrigg White Eagles will 'go for broke' on Saturday evening, as they kick-start proceedings against Sutherland Sharks, in a do-or-die battle for the home-side.

The White Eagles coughed-up maximum points in the dying minutes of last weekend's 1-1 draw with Sydney United, before falling to a heavy loss against Manly United FC at home in midweek.

Coach Brian Brown knows his side has a tough job ahead of them, though will be encouraged thinking back to the earlier encounter between the two sides at Seymour Shaw - where the White Eagles scored a memorable 4-3 win.

The Sharks too have failed to get the ball rolling in-terms of results and Robbie Stanton's men have Sydney Olympic breathing down their necks on the border of a Top-Five spot. Once more for the Sharks, the experience of George Souris in defence will be telling, as will the service for front-man Brad Boardman up-front. The side will also be carrying the confidence generated from the TigerTurf Cup semi-final triumph - the side set for a Final showdown against Manly United FC in that competition.

At Cook Park in St. Mary's, Penrith-Nepean plays host to Bankstown City with the side playing to finish as high up on the League ladder after the end to their TigerTurf Cup dream following defeat against Sutherland Sharks.

Bankstown City has been in immense form since the halfway point of the season and Peter Tsekenis' men stand a strong chance of 'budging' Sydney United for top-spot in the run home to the conclusion of the regular season. And, following recent results for both the Lions and Sydney United, who could possibly argue Bankstown City's case for top-spot.

At Lidcombe Oval, West Sydney Berries play host to Wollongong Community FC with both sides in need of points to finish the season strongly. The visitors still hold only one win to their account in the League this season, meanwhile the Berries still hold a mathematical chance of finals football - though a serious number of results would need to go in their favour for this to eventuate.

The Berries have looked strong in recent weeks, though have been denied maximum points in matches due to their inability to play for 90' minutes - John Calleja's side constantly putting together only 'half-performances' thus far.

WCFC's situation is very dour, though a quarter-final finish in the TigerTurf Cup - eliminated in extra-time by Penrith-Nepean United - should give the side the confidence to finish a disappointing campaign, strongly.

On Sunday afternoon Manly United FC has a must win battle on their hands at Cromer Park against Blacktown City. Following up the meeting between the two sides in the TigerTurf Cup semi-finals last weekend, the sides have two very different objectives come Sunday afternoon.

Manly United FC's season has taken a bit of a tumble in recent weeks, though a win against the Demons will almost certainly secure a finals berth. Phil Moss has had a side plagued by injuries throughout the campaign, though his main men are returning, and the side has re-found that winning feeling with some hard-working displays.

Blacktown City Demons push for finals football ended a fortnight ago, though once more Ken Schembri's men will be eager to prove their ability to test the 'bigger sides' in this fixture. An extraordinary battle earlier on in the season between the two sides finished 3-3, with Manly United scoring twice in the closing stages for a share of the spoils. Sunday's fixture promises to be another goal scoring spectacle.

At Lambert Park, the rivalry between former NSL greats Sydney Tigers and Marconi Stallions will be re-kindled as the sides meet in what will prove to be a spectacle.

Both sides lift for the fixtures featuring the two clubs, and Sunday should be no different. Luke McGuire needs his Tigers to find some cohesion - and consistency in-front of goal - as the side sits in a very precarious second-last spot on the League ladder.

The Stallions too have run into a poor patch of form in recent weeks, with the normally menacing strikers failing to find a consistent avenue to goal as was the case earlier in the campaign. Lee Sterrey's men still have the luxury of one catch-up match to be played, though failure to pick up maximum points in that encounter stands the side in danger of missing out on finals football.

In the final match-up of the week, another NSL pairing goes into battle as Sydney Olympic hosts League leader Sydney United ay Belmore Sports Ground.

The Blues have turned their indifferent season around in recent weeks as the side sits two-points outside the Top-Five. Much will be known about Nick Theodorakopoulos side's ambitions following this encounter, as only three-points will keep the side in with a fighting chance.

The Reds have been hampered with a poor home surface, causing some slip-ups in recent weeks at home - not helped with a difficult field to train on. Player/coach Ante Milicic will be vital to his sides chances of picking up a win and keeping Bankstown City's challenge for top-spot at bay, as will Luka Glavas and Elsid Barkhousir in the attacking third. On a good surface at Belmore, Milicic will most likely release Croatian import Davor Bajsic to run wild in the central midfield areas - a tactic that proved successful in the 1-1 draw against Bonnyrigg White Eagles in Round 19 action.
