In a fabulous battle between two former NSL sides, it was the Blues who opened the scoring on 70' minutes via Adam Biddle. The lead was short-lived though as Petar Markovic, who has been plagued by injury over the past 12-months, scored 1' minute later to keep Ante Milicic's men at the top of the ladder, two-points clear of Bankstown City Lions with two matches remaining.

Manly United FC's recent return to form hit a glitch with the side losing 1-0 at Cromer Park against Blacktown City Demons. A Gavin Forbes strike on 39' minutes was enough to separate the two sides, leaving Manly United FC in third-spot with little chance of catching Sydney United at the top of the League ladder.

At Lambert Park, Sydney Tigers and Marconi Stallions battled out for a share of the spoils following a 1-1 final result between these two former NSL sides.

The Tigers took the lead on 37' minutes as Robert Younis' curling free-kick found its way through a crowded penalty-area to finish inside the right-hand post.

The Stallions drew level on 62' minutes courtesy of Ousmane Toure who fired home with aplomb to leave Phillip Zabaks helpless in the Sydney Tigers goal. Despite the momentum swinging in favour of the Stallions following the equaliser, two red cards - Abel El Jamal (65') and Toure (78') - cut out any hope for Lee Sterrey's men who retreated well in their defensive third to grind out a 1-1 draw for a share of the points.

On Saturday evening at Bonnyirgg Sports Ground, the White Eagles saw their last chance of finals football go up in flames as Sutherland Sharks put together a 'workmanlike' performance for a 3-1 victory.Bonnyrigg was extremely unlucky following a brave performance though goals to Panni Nikas and Brad Boardman shortly after the break had the Sharks crusing to victory. Mark D'Alessandro had restored some hope shortly after with a well-taken goal, though a double red card to Almir Dizdairc and D'Alessandro ended any hopes of a White Eagles fight back as Boardman added a third goal deep into injury-time.

West Sydney Berries added further grief to Wollongong Community FC's disappointing campaign with an emphatic 6-1 victory at Lidcombe Oval. Berries' John Tsironis notched up a memorable hat-trick for his side, with Dimitri Zakilas, Chris Gaitatzis and Liam Austin each pitching in with a goal apiece. WCFC had taken the lead after only 8' minutes via the boot of Ilija Prenzoski though their task at hand was certainly dealt a huge blow with David Able (31') and Steven Hayes (71') receiving their marching orders from referee Stephen Toth.

Penrith-Nepean United withstood some fierce attacking football from Bankstown City to snatch a point from the second-placed Lions. Penrith-Nepean frustrated the Bankstown City strikers with a strong showing in the defensive third, led admirably by player/coach Ante Juric. Despite the long spells on the back foot, the home-side nearly snatched victory late-on courtesy of captain Devrim Huseyin - the Penrith-Nepean midfielder almost finding a way past Lions shot-stopper Zlatko Joseski for a spectacular match-winner.

Huge concern surrounds 19-year-old Penrith-Nepean player Trent Barton who was carried off the field after 23' minutes with a serious knee injury.
