Tevez told Radio Mitre on Sunday that he is enjoying his time at West Ham and the future is not something that affects him now.

"I don't know what I will do in June," said 23-year-old Tevez. "I want to take West Ham out of the relegation zone and I'm focused on that."

The Hammers may be struggling but Tevez insists he is happy at Upton Park.

"This is a nice challenge for me and I really like it because it's a new experience," said Tevez. "I'm happy because I am playing and scoring."

The former Boca Juniors forward played down remarks attributed to him in a previous interview that he would like to return to former club Corinthians.

Tevez said: "There was a misunderstanding. I would like to return to Corinthians but some day, as well as to go back to Boca.

"I have never said I wanted to quit now. My family know I'm happy here."

Tevez also spoke of his passion for the Argentina national team.

"I always want to put the national shirt on," he said. "It is what motivates me every day.

"We have to demonstrate things because the national team have not won anything for a long time (14 years)."

Looking forward to the Copa America in Venezuela from June 26 to July 15, he said: "It would be nice to win the Copa America because people in Argentina need joy."

The national team have been drawn in Copa America Group C, alongside the United States, Paraguay and Colombia.
