Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero expects compatriot Carlos Tevez to play a big part in the title run-in.
Tevez is now back in manager Roberto Mancini's plans following the closure of his dispute with the club and made his first appearance in six months in Wednesday's vital Barclays Premier League win over Chelsea.
The 28-year-old came off the bench as City trailed at the Etihad Stadium and played a key role in their fightback by setting up Samir Nasri's late winner.
Aguero has shone in Tevez's absence since joining City in a £38million club record deal last summer but is now looking forward to linking up more with his fellow Argentinian.
The former Atletico Madrid forward said: "Although I'm not Roberto Mancini, I'm not the manager, we all know he's an important player for us, a key player and with the nine games remaining in the season I think he can bring a lot to the side.
"If and when selected I think it's an important time for him to come back.
"He's a key player because he's got five years' experience of playing in the Premier League.
"We have a lot of good players here and he is one other player, but he will be very very important to us because he's one in a long list of top-quality players at this club.
"He will bring a lot to the party for what remains of the season."
Tevez's availability gives Mancini the option of City's top goalscorer for the past two seasons.
For most of his absence, which included an unauthorised three-month break in Argentina, Tevez's goals were not missed as City set the pace at the top of the table.
Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Mario Balotelli have struck 57 goals between them in all competitions, but the title is still far from secure.
Manchester United have now seized the initiative and lead by a point after damaging 1-0 away defeats for City at Sunderland, Everton and Swansea since the turn of the year.
Aguero believes Tevez, who is again likely to be on the bench at Stoke tomorrow, could now give City a crucial extra cutting edge.
The 23-year-old said: "Through what happened and the situation that came about I've not had much chance to play with Carlos but what we have done between the three of us - myself, Mario and Edin - is to give a good account of ourselves in terms of goalscoring.
"We have done fairly well but I think it would be nice to have Carlos on board to add goals to the threesome, but it's down to the manager and hopefully he continues to pick me."
Aguero is City's top scorer this term with 24 and, although he claims not to be counting, has his sights set on more in the remaining nine games.
He said: "The main thing about scoring is not setting targets for yourself but scoring the goals that win points for the team.
"It would be lovely to score 30 but the most important thing is the team getting the right results at the end of the day.
"We will know how many I've got at the end of the season and I can count up then."
Aguero's form has seen him linked with Real Madrid, with even his own father-in-law Diego Maradona quoted as saying a move to the Spanish giants would be a good one.
But Aguero said: "None of that has come from me and the City fans can rest assured I am happy here.
"First and foremost the major aim is to win the league title this season.
"Then I want to stay here for a long time after that. I'm very very happy here.
"From the moment I arrived everyone has treated me really well and it's down to me to repay that kindness and good feeling I've had from everyone with some performances out on the field."
