So to summarise what's possibly one of the peakest A-League games ever:
— Daniel Phimphisane (@DPhimphisane) January 12, 2020
- Kye Rowles scores but denied by VAR
- Kye Rowles concedes OG
- Matt Simon arrives, scores 2 pens to win against Victory, and shithouses in front of the Vuck fans

2. A penalty for a handball against the Victory is converted by Matt Simon (CCM) #CCMvMVC
If that's not a penalty the @ALeague should just shut down. #CCMvMVC
— Tim (@TimothyJ_23) January 12, 2020
Clearly handball. This is VAR bread and butter. #CCMvMVC
— ccmfans (@ccmfans) January 12, 2020
Agree with @RobbieSlater17 on the handball rule. Needs to be changed so that a foul is only awarded if an advantage is gained through the handball. If it blocks a shot, cross, pass or used to control the ball, etc. That was harsh on Victory. #CCMvMVC

This bloody handball rule, it’s a joke #CCMvMVC #aleague

3. A scuffle breaks out between the teams leading to yellow cards given to Matt Simon (CCM) and Adama Traoré (MVC) #CCMvMVC
Classic incompetent A-League. Between referring and VAR it’s a complete joke. Simon by far the biggest thug ever to play and that includes Muscat. Why didn’t he get a straight red for initiating fight with Traore? #CCMvMVC
— David Gianfriddo (@HGA_Melb) January 12, 2020
Two penalties and a fight in stoppage time for Matt Simon.#CCMvMVC

A tough contest in Brisbane. We come from a goal behind on two occasions but are unable to secure the three points.
