They will play matches against Central Coast Mariners at ANZ Stadium on July 2, Perth Glory a week later and then Melbourne Victory at AAMI Park on July 13.

It is the second time in two years that Neil Lennon's team will visit Australia, having played a friendly against Brisbane in front of 30,000 fans in 2009.

"Brisbane was a fantastic experience for all the players and it really emphasised the difference between Celtic and other football clubs," captain Scott Brown told the club's website.

"Celtic is a global club and I am really looking forward to leading the team Down Under as club captain."

Lennon said the Australian experience in 2009 was an overwhelmingly positive one for his players and he was delighted to take the club back.

"The players who went to Brisbane raved about the backing they received from the fans," he said. "I'm really excited as the cities we are visiting are full of Celtic fans.

"The supporters this season have been magnificent and I know our fans all over the world have been tuning in and watching.

"A tour like this gives us the opportunity to go and meet those fans and thank them for their support."

Celtic striker Georgios Samaras, who played at the MCG for Greece in a friendly in 2006, has family in Melbourne and is very much looking forward to his return trip.

"Australia is home to the largest Greek ex-pat population in the world so I'm really looking forward to playing in front of all the Greek football fans," he said.

"I know they will be very excited to see Celtic."

Tribal Sports Management Managing Director Lou Sticca said he was delighted to be bringing one of the world's most famous and best supported clubs to Sydney (vs Central Coast Mariners at ANZ Stadium July 2), Perth (vs Perth Glory at NIB Stadium on July 9) and Melbourne (vs Melbourne Victory at AAMI Park on July 13).

"This tour is a victory for the average football supporter.  We've worked hard to keep ticket prices down to ensure bumper crowds around the country," Sticca said.

"To promote the best possible atmosphere each local club will retain their own 'home end' while a 'Jungle Area' will be reserved for active Celtic Football Club supporters in the away end."

"After seeing first hand what impact the Celtic Football Club visit had on football fans in Brisbane in 2009 we are delighted to provide this opportunity for even more fans around the country to experience the fantastic atmosphere that Celtic fans are famous for all over the world."
