This is the pic to break the hearts of Melbourne Victory fans - goal machine Kosta Barbarouses in a Sydney FC shirt.
The Sky Blues today confirmed their coup swoop for the Kiwi forward with an unveiling ceremony at Sydney Opera House, on a reported three year marquee deal.
The 29-year old forward becomes head coach Steve Corica’s first new signing since clinching the Championship last month.
Barbarouses has played 206 times in the A-League scoring 54 goals, and has twice been named in the PFA Team of the Season.
“I’m very happy to be signing for Sydney FC as it’s a club I’ve heard so many great things about,” he said.
“They’ve had some extraordinary success in recent times and I want to be here to help continue that.
“I’ve no doubt this is a special organisation to be a part of with incredible values and a club first, family culture mentality.”

Sydney FC Chairman Scott Barlow hailed the arrival of Barbarouses.
“Kosta has been one of the standout attackers in the Hyundai A-League for a number of seasons and I’m very pleased to have him join the Sydney FC family,” Barlow said.
“We’ve just completed an incredibly successful season but next season we want to do better again.
“We want to challenge for all three domestic titles and we’re determined to have a major impact in next year’s AFC Champions League.
“Kosta’s signing is an important step towards this, and I’m looking forward to him taking the field in Sky Blue.”
Corica said he was delighted to have captured the signature of one of the A-League’s most sought after players.
“Kosta is an extremely good footballer and is highly regarded as one of the best strikers in Australia,” said Corica. “He is hungry for success which fits perfectly into our culture at Sydney FC.
“There’s no doubt he improves our squad and we are absolutely delighted to have him on board.”
