SOCCEROO fans will have to remain patient a little longer before discovering which players have been culled from the Australian squad with Pim Verbeek to reveal his chosen 23 at 7.30pm tonight.
Although the list of names had to be on FIFA's desk by June 1, the coach wanted to speak with the players themselves and discuss any medical issues arising from the 1-0 win over Denmark before naming his final squad at 7.30pm, Sydney-time (11.30am South Africa-time).
Although the final squad has now been submitted to FIFA, Verbeek wants to announce the squad personally but only after he spoken to all of the players.
Tommy Oar, Shane Lowry, Eugene Galekovic and James Holland all appear certain for the chop but there is uncertainty over the fifth player to be left out.
A choice between Dario Vidosic and Richard Garcia is the dilemma many believe Verbeek has on his hands.
However, there are those who also question how many defensive midfielders Verbeek needs with potential for one of those individuals to make way.
