All it took was a few words of praise - but to hear it come from his veteran commentator hero Martin Tyler was enough to reduce Fox Sports' Brenton Speed to tears.
Tyler recorded a video for Speedie after seeing footage of Riley McGree's unforgettable goal for Adelaide United last season, and to pay tribute to the Fox Sports commentary.
And as the clip was shown to Speed, his stiff upper lip crumpled and his emotions took over from his words.
