The glovesman signed a two-year deal as a free agent in the UK off-season but has made only one appearance for the Canaries this season.

Theoklitos's debut was a disastrous 7-1 defeat to Colchester last August, in which he made a number of elementary errors.

The result was the worst home defeat in Norwich City's 107-year history and two fans ran onto the pitch after Colchester had made it 4-0 and threw their season tickets at then-manager Bryan Gunn before being ejected.

Since then, manager Gunn has been sacked and the 28-year-old Aussie is out of favour with new manager Paul Lambert. On-loan Fraser Forster and highly rated English youth keeper Jed Steer are well ahead of Theoklitos in the pecking order.

But talk of a return to the A-League at Victory's cross-town rivals has been played down. Sources close to the player say right now he's  keen to work his way back into the Carrow Road first team rather than returning home.

Heart have also been heavily linked with Sydney FC keeper Clint Bolton.
