Out-of-contract Melbourne Victory goalkeeper Michael Theoklitos hasn't ruled out a shock move abroad. “I have a couple of options with overseas clubs,” he told FourFourTwo online shortly before boarding a plane to Hawaii for the team's end of season trip.

Theoklitos's form this season has been one of the reasons behind the stunning success of the Victorian franchise. His game-saving final minute save against Travis Dodd in the Major Semi Final second leg virtually guaranteed Victory the home grand final.

“It's been a massive time since winning the grand final,” said a croaky voiced Theoklitos. “And I am happy to stay with Victory if that was how it worked out. We'll see.”

Prior to the A-League, Theoklitos had spells in England with Blackpool where he played in an FA Cup tie. He also had a stint in New Zealand with their NSL side the Kingz and was on the books of VPL club Bulleen.

Victory has recently signed outstanding Young Socceroo keeper Mitchell Langerak, a glovesman Theoklitos rates highly. It means Victory is likely to have three keepers when the 23-man roster comes into force for A-League version three.

“With the signing of Mitchell and of course Ljubo Milicevic, it shows you how serious Ernie [Merrick] is about freshening up the squad ahead of the new season and the Asian Champions League in 2008,” added Theoklitos.
