Bristol Rovers put further daylight between themselves and the Coca-Cola League One relegation zone tonight with a 2-0 win in their west country derby with Cheltenham.
Goals in either half from Craig Hinton and Rickie Lambert sealed the victory, although Steven Gillespie missed a late penalty for the visitors.
The result lifted Rovers seven points clear of danger while leaving the visitors hovering perilously above the bottom four.
In League Two, Bury blew the chance to move five points above the drop zone after throwing away a 2-1 lead to lose 3-2 to Stockport.
Anthony Pilkington put the visitors ahead but Andy Bishop soon levelled and Bury were ahead just after half-time through Glynn Hurst.
But Jason Taylor equalised before Pilkington's second sealed a win that moved Stockport within striking distance of the play-offs.
Late goals from substitute Dany N'Guessan and Jamie Forrester handed Lincoln a precious 2-1 win at Macclesfield that saw them leapfrog their opponents in the table.
N'Guessan netted the opener with just nine minutes remaining and Forrester made it 2-0 in the 89th minute, before Town substitute Gareth Evans netted a stoppage-time consolation.
The night's other fixture, Rochdale v Barnet, was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
