SOCCEROO Tim Cahill says it's about time Everton won some silverware after qualifying for the semifinals of the FA Cup with a 2-0 victory over Sunderland in their replay on Tuesday.
Cahill, who scored the equaliser in the 1-1 drawn opener, started and played 90 minutes in the replay.
Everton won the day thanks to Nikica Jelavic's 24th-minute strike, before a David Vaughan own goal in the 56th minute sealed the result.
Now Everton will face Merseyside rivals Liverpool in the semifinal at Wembley and Cahill, who has played in the FA Cup decider before with the Toffees and Millwall, told ITV he was eyeing off the trophy.
"Regardless of Liverpool I think it was all about us today," said Cahill.
"The manager knows what we're capable of and it's about time we did something like this, and hopefully we're going to move forward.'
Cahill also praised January signing Jelavic who has added some bite to the Toffees line-up since his arrival.
He added: "He's changed a lot of our games - he's someone who can hold the ball up and score goals. It helps a hell of a lot."
