Jack Clisby says Western Sydney Wanderers aren't panicking despite only recording two victories from their first 11 games this season.
The Wanderers sit in seventh place on the table and have had six draws so far. They have conceded 21 goals, third-worst in the competition, and travel north to Queensland on Friday to take on the in-form Brisbane Roar.
But Clisby is confident there is still time for Western Sydney to go on a winning run and contend for the title.
"It's never too late," he said. "I know we're coming up to the halfway point in the season and it's a results-based industry and we really do need to start getting some more points.
"But we believe it's going to come with the type of football we're playing.
"I don't think we need to panic, especially just yet, it's just consistent performances we need to start stringing and taking out wins when we should be winning games.
"We've had numerous draws but the way we look at we're playing good football but it's just unfortunately not going for us at the moment.
"We're still believing in our style of play and we know we're going to get stronger."
Wanderers and the Roar played out a 1-1 draw in round 8 at Spotless Stadium. Clisby said the belief is strong that his team can grab all three points at Suncorp Stadium.
"We played a good football the last time against them at home, and we'll be looking to do that again away from home," the fullback said.
"Brisbane are in good form. It's always going to be a tough game, especially away from home. They're quite strong in Brisbane and no game's easier nowadays. We'll still be going there full of confidence that we can get a result."
