TOM Pondeljak has yet to toast his grand final heroics due to Socceroo duties but hopes he can celebrate a victory over Kuwait.
The Melbourne Victory midfielder was no doubt the subject of numerous toasts in the city on Saturday night but he has yet to 'indulge' himself.
Pondeljak preferred to remain alcohol-free ahead of reporting for duty with the Socceroos for the Asian Cup qualifier in Canberra.
The former Central Coast Mariners man told the Canberra Times: "I didn't drink any alcohol, that can wait.
''This is an important game, representing your country so you can't do anything to silly. I have to take another step up.''
Pondeljak will earn his fifth Socceroos cap tomorrow night after being part of the squad that earned a point in Indonesia.
