Socceroo Tom Rogic was involved as Celtic progressed in the UEFA Champions League while Awer Mabil was in action as Danish champions FC Midtjylland crashed out.
Rogic was a 63rd minute substitute as Celtic secured their passage into the third qualifying round with a 0-0 draw with Rosenborg in Norway.
Alex Gersbach was an unused substitute for the Norwegian champions.
For his cameo, Rogic earned a rating of four from the Daily Record, who wrote: "Composed on the ball in final half an hour."
Celtic progressed 3-1 on aggregate and will next face Greek champions AEK Athens for a spot in the group stage.
Awer Mabil was a 59th minute substitute as Midjtylland were bundled out by Kazak champions Astana following a 0-0 draw in Denmark.
Astana had won the first leg 2-1, so they progress on aggregate to face Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb.
Milos Degenek is still in the hunt for Champions League action after playing a full game in Red Star Belgrade's 2-0 win at Lithuanian champions Suduva which sealed a comfortable 5-0 aggregate triumph.
Red Star have drawn Slovakian champions Spartak Trnava.
