Awer Mabil was a 59th minute substitute as Midjtylland were bundled out by Kazak champions Astana following a 0-0 draw in Denmark.

Astana had won the first leg 2-1, so they progress on aggregate to face Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb.

Milos Degenek is still in the hunt for Champions League action after playing a full game in Red Star Belgrade's 2-0 win at Lithuanian champions Suduva which sealed a comfortable 5-0 aggregate triumph.
