Old Firm derby's just aren't the contests they once were these days, and although Rangers is spending apocalyptically in an attempt to get back on even standings with their Glasgow rivals, Rogic has once again proven how far they've yet to come.

After Rogic gave the Hoops the lead at Ibrox on the 50th minute, there was little coming back for Rangers, who had looked second best the entire match.

When Leigh Griffiths doubled the avantage on the 65th, it became largely about damage control, memories of the shellacking Celtic had dished out in the fixture last season still warm in Rangers' memory.

The strike is Rogic's first goal for Celtic in the Scottish Premiership this season - to accompany his two strikes in Champions League qualification - as Brendan Rodger's men look to perform across three competitions, while defending last season's title.

Rogic's return to scoring form also comes at a welcome time for the Socceroos, with Australia set to face Syria in a do-or-die clash in Malaysia on October 5.
