Spain striker Fernando Torres has been ruled out of the vital Euro 2008 qualifier against Denmark.
The Liverpool forward limped out of training tonight and team doctors confirmed he had torn a muscle in his right leg.
He will undergo further tests over the weekend but is set to be out for between eight and 10 days, ruling him out of Saturday's clash in Aarhus and next Wednesday's friendly against Finland.
That would also put his participation in next weekend's Merseyside derby in doubt.
Spain are already without Valencia striker David Villa for the double-header.
Luis Aragones' side are second in Group F, level on points with Sweden.
