Roma have confirmed Francesco Totti will not travel with the squad for Wednesday's Champions League return with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Roma coach Luciano Spalletti announced on Saturday that he hoped his captain would be available for the quarter-final clash, which Roma trail 2-0 after the first leg.
Spalletti said: "I don't think he will make it. Of course I would like to have a player like Totti available."
But Totti's name was a notable absentee from the squad list announced on club website www.asroma.it today.
The club's top scorer has been sidelined since suffering a thigh injury during a 1-1 draw with Cagliari on March 29.
