Roma captain Francesco Totti has warned his team-mates to keep their feet firmly on the ground despite their impressive start to the new Serie A campaign.
The Giallorossi won 2-0 at Palermo on Sunday, a result that followed their 1-0 triumph over Internazionale that handed them the Italian Super Cup.
Roma who finished second best behind Inter in Italy's top flight last season, aim to go one step further.
"It's clear that we are alongside Inter, Juventus and AC Milan candidates to win the Serie A," said 30-year-old Totti.
"But the word Scudetto is a challenging one and we must be careful, it's early days yet. We will obviously try to challenge any team for the title."
Philippe Mexes and Alberto Aquilani scored the goals for the Eternal City club in the 2-0 win in Sicily.
