BRYAN RUIZ (to Fulham from FC Twente, £10.6million)

The arrival of the exciting Costa Rican could just prove to be the shrewdest move of Martin Jol's Fulham tenure so far, the 26-year-old having been a big success in Holland for FC Twente, where his 24 goals helped them win the Eredivisie for the first time in 2010.

MIKEL ARTETA (to Arsenal from Everton, £10million)

While the Spaniard will not fill the void in Arsenal's midfield left by the departures of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, at 29, Arteta will bring some much-needed top flight experience to the Gunners side as Arsene Wenger's late swoop paid off.

CRAIG BELLAMY (to Liverpool from Manchester City, free)

Wales forward Bellamy may not be the player he was when he arrived, for his first spell at Anfield in 2006/2007, but the 32-year-old still has enough about him to cause defenders plenty of concerns now he is back in a red shirt.

SCOTT PARKER (to Tottenham from West Ham, £5.5million)

Despite playing in a struggling Hammers side battling relegation last season, Parker was voted Footballer of the Year. Now back in the England fold, the 30-year-old will want to show more of the same in the Premier League again.

SCOTT DANN (to Blackburn from Birmingham, undisclosed)

The capture of highly-rated Dann was something of a coup for Rovers boss Steve Kean, who had worked with the 24-year-old when coaching at Coventry. Dann had been linked with several other top-flight clubs, including Arsenal, and will certainly be a welcome addition to a Blackburn side who have lost all three league games so far.
