Australian Haris Stamboulidis has transferred from Greece to Spain’s second division club Extremadura UD.
The Spanish club announced the signing of the 23-year-old Australian overnight.

Stamboulidis has had an interesting career to date.
He won the NYL with Melbourne City in 2013.
He then moved to the USA to study at Columbia University in New York.
However, he also played in Colorado Rapids’ U23 side before moving to Aris Thessaloniki FC in Greece.
In Greece, he was coached by Spanish manager Paco Herrera.
Speaking after Aris’ first two official games last season, Stamboulidis told FTBL: “The only certainty is that everybody is now watching.
"Allll I can do is be prepared for any opportunity I may earn, whether that be with my club Aris FC which is my first priority or with the Greek or Australian national team.”
